Retreat Logistics
- The 3-day/2-night in-person retreats are organized to amplify the leadership program’s outcomes. Much of our work is done in teams, so please be sure that you will be able to attend all the program retreats. Your punctual presence is valued and needed by your cohort members.
- The tuition for the program is $1,500. The fee covers all texts, instruction materials, inventories, food and beverages at each retreat, and single occupancy lodging at the two retreats (the first retreat in Raleigh and the last retreat in Winston-Salem).
- Single occupancy lodging at two retreats is included in the cohort tuition. If selected for the cohort, additional details including how to reserve your accommodations, incidentals, and information on parking will be shared.
- Although tuition does not cover lodging for the December, January and February retreats, we will share a list of hotels in close proximity to each retreat location. If selected for the cohort, it will be your responsibility to book your hotel and cover any related costs.
Retreat Content
- While there is scheduled time for teams to work together during the retreats, a lot of work is completed on your own time. Please be prepared to communicate and work with your team members between retreats. Technology-based components are integrated in the program’s structure.
- Self-study is a critical part of your leadership learning experience. Homework is assigned and should be completed on time.
- At the completion of the leadership program leaders will have an opportunity to evaluate the program sessions and provide suggestions for professional development for alumni.
Community College Investment

After Graduation
- Announcements about future alumni professional development are forthcoming.
Application Procedures
The 2026-2027 application period will open on August 3, 2026.
- Complete the NCCCLP application.
- All applications must include a letter affirming your college president’s endorsement.
- The application period closes on August 31st, 2026.
- All applicants will receive a status update by September 30th, 2026.
