Program FAQ:

Retreat Logistics

  • The 3-day/2-night in-person retreats, and virtual webinars are organized to amplify the leadership program’s outcomes. Much of our work is done in teams, please be sure that you will be able to attend all the program retreats and webinars.  Your punctual presence is valued and needed by your cohort members. 
  • Tuition is $1500. The fee covers two texts, instruction materials, inventories, NCCCLP swag, all lunches and beverages at each retreat, and single occupancy lodging at the two retreats in Raleigh.
  • Single occupancy lodging at the first two retreats in Raleigh is also included in the cohort tuition. To make your Hyatt House Raleigh Seaboard Station reservations for the two Raleigh retreats. Please use the following link for November and link for February to reserve your room. The reservation will allow you to check in on the first day of each retreat and check out on the last day of the retreat. 
  • For the November and February retreats in Raleigh your lodging and self-parking are covered by your cohort tuition. If you choose valet parking, we are unable to pay for it. When you arrive at the Hyatt House Raleigh Seaboard Station in Raleigh you will only need to provide a credit or debit card for room incidental charges.
  • Although tuition does not cover lodging for the March and April retreats, we have held a block of hotel rooms at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Greensboro Airport. This hotel is close to the Conference Center at GTCC where the spring retreats will be held. Please work with your community college to pay for March and April’s lodging. Retreat Content

  • While there is scheduled time for teams to work together during the retreats, a lot of work is completed on your own time. Please be prepared to communicate and work with your team members between retreats. Technology-based components are integrated in the program’s structure. 
  • Self-study is a critical part of your leadership learning experience. Homework is assigned and should be completed on time. 
  • At the completion of the leadership program leaders will have an opportunity to evaluate the program sessions and provide suggestions for professional development for alumni.

Community College Investment 

  • Tuition is $1500. The fee covers two texts, instruction materials, inventories, NCCCLP swag, all lunches and beverages at each retreat, and single occupancy lodging at the two retreats in Raleigh.
  • A block of rooms for the March and April retreats in Greensboro is being established at the Embassy Suites Greensboro Airport. A link will be provided for you to reserve your room for March and April. Additionally, please make arrangements with your community college for lodging payment.

After Graduation

  • During the last few years, the NCCCLAG has delivered virtual webinars through OLE. Please visit this page to access the OLE recordings through May 2024. 
  • Announcements about future alumni professional development are forthcoming.

Application Procedures

The 2025-2026 application period will open on August 1, 2025.

  1. Complete the NCCCLP application.
  2. All applications must include a letter affirming your college president’s endorsement.
  3. The application period was closed on September 22, 2025.
  4. All applicants will receive a status update by October 10. 2025.
